If your circumstances require Prospectus Financial Management Ltd to manage your investment portfolio, we charge our fees for this service in one of two ways:
For larger portfolios, generally in excess of (£250,000), we charge an annual investment management fee but do not charge each time a change is made to the investments within the portfolio. We believe this best aligns the interest of the client and adviser and does not encourage excessive switching of investments. Our charges are:
• An initial fee of (2%) of the amounts invested. This excludes amounts invested into cash such as deposit accounts and National Savings
• An annual fee of the value of the investments under advice of (1%) per annum up to (£250,000); (.75%) on the next (£250,000); and (.5%) over (£500,000)
We are completely transparent with regard to fees, and any fees we receive will be reinvested or rebated into your client account in full. In this situation, we establish an asset allocation strategy, determine the underlying investment funds and review this periodically, advising you of any recommended changes.
As an example an investment of £250,000 based on a 1% annual fee would amount to £2,500.
For portfolios generally under (£250,000), we charge annual investment management fee, but do not charge each time a change is made to the investments within the portfolio. We believe this best aligns the interest of the client and adviser and does not encourage excessive switching of investments. Our charges are:
• An initial fee of up to (3%) of the amounts invested. This excludes amounts invested into cash such as deposit accounts and National Savings
• An annual fee of the value of the investments under advice of (1.5%) per annum
Over and above your investment portfolio, where it is deemed appropriate, we may provide advice on private equity investments or tax advantaged investment schemes. For advice in this area, we normally charge a fee of (3%) for the initial advice and implementation, and (1%) of the initial investment per annum for administering and advising you in relation to these investments.
In some cases, where financial planning is allied to the investment of client funds, the costs of our financial planning advice are incorporated within our standard costs of investment.
Third-party fees are also incurred in the administration of our portfolios.
VAT may be chargeable, depending on the nature of the transaction/advice given.
The way that we charge for our services will vary considerably with the complexity of the work involved.
There will always be a cost for your adviser's service, as like any other business arrangement, you are benefiting from their expertise. Clients pay for advice in three main ways:
Since 31st December 2012, it has been a regulatory requirement that the cost of all investment and pension advice be based on a fee rather than commission. Please telephone us on 01604 926123 if you would like a copy of our list of fees
We will always tell you about any commission we earn, and the cost of this commission paid out by the provider will normally be factored into the price of your product. These commissions vary with different products and providers but will be documented on the key facts illustration (KFI) you receive from the adviser
By paying a combination of fees and commission, the adviser will rebate back into the financial products or hand to you some or all of the commission or offset it against the fee
Whether we take our remuneration by way of commission or fees will be a matter of discussion and agreement, and no charges for fees will be made without prior notification in writing.
